Alarm Protection Limited was founded in 2000 to develop and market Activ ProNet. The system was developed to meet the shortcomings of traditional infra red-based electronic security systems - they are only activated once unauthorised entry has been gained.

Using unique, patented, sound detection and recognition technology, the Activ ProNet system can detect unauthorised entry into the secured property. This technology makes our system unique in a market place dominated by outdated and unreliable security concepts and systems.

The Activ ProNet security system is backed up by our outstanding service proposition that is also the first of its kind in the market. We believe that service and the impact on the end-user are critical measures of our effectiveness as an organisation in delivering our "promising security" concept. We also believe that value for money requires more than just being the cheapest option - we want to work with public sector bodies to fully contribute to their regeneration programmes.

Our support systems are specifically designed to cover large numbers of properties/units, for example local authority housing, housing associations and sheltered housing organisations. As soon as the management centre receives an activation signal from an Activ ProNet unit, a response team will be dispatched to deal with the incident on site. Thus the Activ ProNet system, in conjunction with our own round the clock management centre and local response teams, provides the end-user with real, tangible security benefits, and offers real value for money, rather than a complicated, predatory pricing structure.

We are not crime fighters, but we are committed to helping public agencies in the fight against crime and urban degradation. We work closely with the local police and Neighbourhood Watch schemes to maximise the communal benefit of the system.

The system has been launched in Northern Ireland and we now have several customers across the UK. We operate a growing network of regional offices that provide us with the local operational base and knowledge necessary to meet the needs of our customers and end users.
